Ingredients
- 10 Lotus biscuits
- Nutella
- chopped hazelnuts
- dark chocolate (melted)
Instructions
- Take two Lotus biscuits. Place about 1/2 teaspoon of Nutella in the center of one biscuit.
Gently press the second biscuit on top to make a sandwich. - Chop the dark chocolate into small, even pieces. Place the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 15–20 second bursts, stirring in between each time.
Repeat until fully melted and smooth. -
Dip half or 1/3 of each sandwich into melted chocolate. Sprinkle with chopped hazelnuts or crushed Lotus crumbs.
Let them sit on parchment paper or refrigerate for 10 minutes to harden the chocolate, and then serve!
Notes
Don’t overfill the Lotus biscuits. A little Nutella goes a long way. Too much can cause the biscuits to slide or crack. Aim for a thin, even layer that doesn’t spill over the edges.
Use high-quality chocolate. If dipping or drizzling, use couverture or baking-quality chocolate for a smooth melt and beautiful finish.
Serve with coffee or milk. These cookies pair perfectly with a warm cup of coffee or cold milk. They also make a luxe addition to afternoon tea or brunch spreads.
Use a piping bag for a clean filling. Instead of spooning Nutella, use a piping bag or ziplock bag with the tip cut off for a neat, even layer every time.
